Instructions for Counselling by the MCC for MBBS & BDS Admission

Online counselling would be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services for Undergraduate Medical Courses. Information for online counselling would only be available on the MCC website (https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/) for Undergraduate Medical Courses. Qualified candidates are advised to read the counselling related information carefully and understand the course of action to be taken by them for appearing in the Counselling.

MCC is conducting Counselling for:

i. 15% All India Quota seats MBBS/ BDS Seats of States (except Jammu & Kashmir)

ii. 100% MBBS/ BDS Seats of BHU OPEN

iii. AIIMS Open seats- 100% MBBS Seats of AIIMS across India

iv. JIPMER Open (Puducherry/ Karaikal) & Internal seats (Domicile)

v. AMU Open & Internal seats

vi. 85% Internal quota/domicile seats of DU/ I.P University (VMMC/ ABVIMS/ESIC Dental)

vii. Jamia Open seats- Faculty of Dentistry (Jamia Milia Islamia) & Internal seats

viii. 15% All India Quota Seats of ESIC & Insured Persons quota seats

ix. AFMC – The Qualifying Candidates aspiring for Counselling/admission in AFMC, shall also have to register with the MCC of DGHS. However, after registration data is sent by DGHS/MCC to the AFMC Authorities, further steps for Counselling/Admission (including Personality & Physical Tests), the concerned AFMC Authorities have to be contacted. For further information (if any), the AFMC website (https://www.afmc.nic.in/) may be visited.

Candidates from the creamy layer and those who do not come under the Central List of OBC are advised to mention their category as Unreserved.

The data submitted by the Candidate [i.e. Mobile number, email id] will be used by the MCC of DGHS for counselling purposes and candidates are advised not to change their registration detail [i.e. Mobile number, email id] till the end of the counselling process as the same data will be prepopulated in the registration form of MCC during Counselling as was submitted in NTA registration form.

Concerning the information related to NRI/OCI candidates, a provision has been made for uploading the document in support of their claim as an NRI / OCI / Foreign National (as the case may be). However, in order to support the candidates during this ongoing COVID-19 pandemic period, the Online Application Form is being filled up in Two Phases – the essentials fields at the time of registration for the examination and the optional fields before the declaration of result.

Provision of uploading the documents (Citizenship Certificate/ Embassy Certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship certificate) for NRI/OCI/Foreign National would be made available to the concerned candidates during the second phase.
